Equipment Lists

These days there is such a crossover with gear between the live world and the recording world that it seemed silly not use as much as we could for both purposes. See the lists of our current selection of equipment that can be used for your event or recording session.

RCF HD32a - Powered 12inch PA speakers. These Italian made tops are outstanding for vocal clarity and full range power. We have 5 available (2 pairs plus an additional 1 for floor monitor / keyboard amp duties etc).
RCF AS705mk2 Subwoofers - Powered 15 inch subs, again top quality RCF brand sub, light in weight but not in sound. 2 available.
Alto TS212 - Powered 12 inch PA speakers, we usually use these as floor monitors but are also great for smaller events or spoken word. 1 pair available.
Db Tech 2x8 Powered monitor - a really handy little speaker for floor monitor duties or speech's etc.

Midas MR18 - Amazing studio sound quality from this digital mixer/interface, run via wifi from tablet and/or laptops. All the onboard FX that you need for live work and we can let you mix your own monitors ( if you prefer ) using the Q app on a tablet to give you full control over stage levels while we concentrate on the front of house sound. Also with this mixer we can record every input to it's own file at 48Khz for later mixdown / archiving of your show. Great on stage or for studio recordings. We also use this in the studio as our main interface due to it's great sounding mic pre-amps.
Soundcraft UI 16- Another great little digital mixer, similar in use to the Midas however recording is limited to the 2 channel main outputs. Again you can take control of your monitor mix if desired by using a tablet to control the levels.
Mackie ProFX8 - Traditional mixer for small groups where simplicity is key and less inputs are needed. Onboard effects and good sounding preamps make this a handy little mixer for duos , dj's speeches etc where remote mixing is not needed.
Tascam US16x08 - Studio quality recording interface with 8 mic pre's and a further 8 line inputs. Can record at 96Khz which is regarded by most professionals as the highest frequency rate worth using. Can be used alongside the Midas to give a total of 32 live inputs while recording if required.
Zoom H4n - Perfect for recording small performances or spoken word, onboard stereo mics and a further 2 mic /line inputs. Handy for location recordings or spoken word.

Dynamics Mics

3 x Sennheiser E935 - A modern sounding handheld dynamic stage mic that is great on all vocal types.
2 x Sennheiser E609 - Perfect for guitar amps, this little square mic hangs in front of the speaker meaning less stands to clutter the stage.
1 x Sennheiser e604 - Snare / Tom , great all round drum clip on mic.
1 x Sennheiser e902 - Kick drum / Bass mic, quality mic for low end sources.
1 x Shure SM57 Beta - Great all round mic, vocals, snare, guitar amp, acoustics, pretty much anything, point and play!
1 x Shure SM57 - Legendary mic for guitar amps, snare drums etc.
1 x Shure SM58 - Another classic mic, always there when needed!
2 x Audix i5 - Similar to SM57, great drum or instrument dynamic mic.
Alpha Series Drum Kit Mics - a good set of dynamics for toms and kick or Djembe / Percussion etc.

Condenser Mics

1 x Mojave MA-301fet - Absolutely amazing mic for just about everything. Multiple patterns and a very smooth tone that suits is so easy to work with in the mix.
1 x SE - 2200 T - This is a large diaphragm tube condenser mic for use in the studio on vocals and anything else such as drum room, acoustic guitar. Lovely mic with a very crisp tone.
1 x SE - X1 - Similar to the 2200T, a great all rounder studio mic currently used as outside kick mic.
3 x Rode M5 - Small condenser mics for drum overheads or acoustic instruments.

Computers

Apple Macbook M1- 16GB and Reaper, SSD etc. This is our main computer for studio recording and mixdown. Installed with plugins from SSL, Izotope, Waves etc and many virtual instruments. we are able to mix your recorded tracks down to a mastered finished product ready for you to take away and use to promote your art.
Dell Precision Laptop running Windows 10 and Reaper, SSD etc. This is our main computer for live and location work. Installed with plugins from SSL, Izotope, Waves etc.
Lenovo laptop, this is used for mixing live and also recording live gigs. The files are then transferred for processing.
